Let’s Go Local

Go local with your edits, that is. Start with a simple adjustment, like lightening an area by setting a high Exposure or Shadow setting. Hold down the Option (Alt) key and erase a little of what you just did. Next, click on the Auto Mask and see how it works when painting around edges of differing colors. Don’t be afraid to adjust the other sliders and really crank up the settings to get a good visual of how they affect your image. Click the New button and create a whole new adjustment. When you’re done, click the pins and then press the Delete (Backspace) key to remove them one at a time or click Reset at the bottom of the panel.
